What can we say about Jim Alcock Property Renovation and Development, he rescued us when our builder who was meant to be carrying out our loft conversion decided to retire. We were recommended Jim by an estate agent friend in Malvern who said that Jim is a “sweetie” and that everyone loves him. He came round one evening and enthused about the project. The beauty of Jim is that he offers more than most builders, he listens to what you want to do but shows his expertise when he needs to. Jim and Craig are a double act that gets the job done, but in a way that makes you feel like they really enjoy helping dreams come true. We had a vision of what our house would look like but when it became a reality it was 100 times better.Jim project manages the whole build, coordinating with different elements of the build, although he has all of the elements covered we were still in control and could influence the build throughout, but Jim, Craig and Andy made you feel like they knew how to make everything come together in the most perfect way. Jim arranged for the roof to be removed, made water tight and then rebuilt with a new dorma window on the front of the house, saving money by reusing the Welsh Slate, Mike was an absolute star, climbing up on the roof during one of the storm days to make certain that the water would not come into the house.As part of the build the house needed the gable wall to be repaired and also be insulated from the outside, Jim arranged for a specialist contractor to carry out the insulation and silicon rendering to be placed on the outside wall. They also repaired some of the other walls, using a pebbledash render, we were so impressed with the outcome, the wall blended into the rest of the white pebbledash of our house and our three neighbours houses. It was imperative that the look was maintained, we were so impressed and can already feel the benefit of the warmth of the house.Jim arranged for the same contractors to also undertook the plastering internally as well, we were so impressed with the finish and helped to lift all of the rooms. We are so impressed with the house, Jim, Craig and Andy worked miracles, completing the build within 5 week, with only plumbing and final electrics still to be completed. Jim allowed us to use our family friend as the electrician, so reducing the cost of the build for us. Jim costed the project at the start, and the work has come in within budget but the finish is amazing. We cannot recommend Jim enough, he has exceeded all of our expectations, we are over the moon, the house was in a perfect location, with stunning views of the Malverns, but the interior now is as stunning as the outside views.If you want a job done to the highest standard, with people that care and who are brilliant at what they do, then Jim and Craig are the men for the job, they bring the best people in to support the build but take all the worry out of it for you.

I am extremely pleased with the work Jim and Craig did on my two-story extension. Their communication was excellent—Jim responded promptly to all my messages—and they offered sound, trustworthy advice throughout the project. They made the entire process far more enjoyable than I had anticipated, and it was a pleasure to have them around. I’m absolutely delighted with the final result and would highly recommend them to anyone. Very pleased with the extension built for us by Jim & Craig. Good comms throughout the process and Jim responded positively to all our daft questions and requests to change original plans. Plenty of hurdles to overcome, both met them with a can-do attitude but also a realistic, pragmatic approach if things couldn't be exactly as wanted. Lovely guys, very much missed by our cats. :-) Would recommend.

Jim and his right hand man Craig have just spent two months at our house demolishing a strange extension and replacing it with a well built, beautiful new room. Jim recommended an architect, heating engineer, electrician and plasterers all of whom worked well together. All tradesmen arrived when expected and generally kept us well in touch with when different jobs would be done. All in all we would definitely recommend Jim and Craig as hard working, skilled and very good humoured people to have in your house.

From start to finish Jim and Craig were excellent builders to complete a side return kitchen /diner extension on our house. They were tidy, courteous, just within budget and communicated excellently throughout the entire 7 week build. Jim navigated all trades for us that were competitively priced and of high quality. Jim's expertise and knowledge meant we were well informed along the way and suggested alternations that improved the space we now have. Jim Alcock and his very skilled right hand man Craig . Have now just completed a new room for us..They are both flexible and efficient.. with nothing but, "Can do" attitude to all jobs...Not a hint of "Jobs worth" nothing is too much trouble..Jim has sources for most materials, and our project went like clock work!They are also both technically knowledgeable with a wealth of experience .. Lastly, both very personable and cheerful through out the job which was completed with in the 6-7 week estimate.. Jim always completes one project, before starting another..I highly recommend Jim Alcock Building and Restoration...👍👍

We are extremely grateful to Jim and Craig for creating an astonishing two storey extension to our house in Malvern Wells. This was by no means a simple build, our daughters new bedroom with mezanine and balcony to the hillside garden is stunning. We cannot recommend Jim highly enough. Not only is his work excellent, Jim himself is, as another contractor put it, 'a really lovely guy.' He comes when he says he will, he is very tidy and when he gives advice, he does so with modesty and a view to our pockets and timescales. On more than one occasion, he has found ways to go beyond what was asked, in order to give us a better outcome at no extra cost. He has been very prompt and willing to modify anything when we have asked him to. Jim takes care in his work and he also taken care of sorting out building regs and structural drawings for us - a very welcome detail. What is really special, is that Jim takes care of his clients and their hopes too. We are extremely glad to have found him and we very much hope to work with him again as we continue our adventure in renovation.

Jim is a great guy, who listens patiently and provides exactly what is required. With great knowledge and understanding that this bathroom would not be straight forward, he still took the job on and exceeded expectations! This job was for my VERY fussy elderly Grandfather. Jim and his colleague managed to get the job done in 5 days! Completely stripped the old bathroom out and fitted a large shower cubicle, built in toilet and sink unit, tiled the entire bathroom and got some lino down. It looks AWESOME, even my Grandfather is impressed - now that's high praise. Thank you so much.

Jim fitted a brand new bathroom for me, he arrived with his colleague on 2nd January and completely stripped the old bathroom out, fitted a new pipe to fix a leak and then fitted aqua boards, tiles, new fixtures and fittings.A really lovely man, he offered advice and even did a few things extra to make it look really nice, he took a lot of pride in his work.I cannot recommend this guy enough, he arrived prompt every morning and worked tirelessly each day to have the bathroom fitted as quick as possible, but without rushing, he wanted us to be back to normal with a new bathroom as quickly as possible.Jim was easy to talk to, was available for advice and we look forward to booking him again to fit a new Kitchen later in the year.

How lucky am I, over the last two years I’ve had meetings with 7 builders with regards to making significant improvements to our house, we have saved tirelessly and used all our savings making many personal sacrifices to ensure we could make our home bigger and better, after being let down once I was determined to find a genuine builder who could do the job without all the BS that other builders try to push on you.Finally after looking through google and other reviews Jim’s name popped up, I was in talks with 3 other builders at the time, but Jim was the one who gave a very detailed costing, which was very reasonable.We agreed a start date and drafted an agreement with regards to the work I wanted to be done, during the period upto the start date Jim was constantly in contact with me guideing me through the planning pocess and ironing out all the requests and requirements that the planning needed to be complete before any work was to begin. This was a massive help as with the previous builder I was given no advise and this would have undoubtedly cost me time and money. Jim and Craig have been working tirelessly for me for 4 months and I can genuinely say he is an absolute pleasure to have around his work and knowledge is exceptional and his advise is genuine, he has saved me loads of money by finding cheaper products and having the correct contacts without compromising the quality of work.Jim is a very proud builder and likes to get the Job done he has been fantastic with all my neighbours who have been very patient with me and can’t compliment him enough as a person. He has been very easy to get along with taking on all my suggestions and advising me on my mistakes. Jim took on additional work and charged very reasonably.I can only say thank god the other builder let me down, Jim was a breath of fresh air he and his team are exceptional builders, when making such a huge decision you need people like Jim to reassure you and give you confidence that you got the right people in. For anyone who decides to undertake building work, look at Jims website and read his reviews, most builders are left with negative feedback or no reviews whatsoever, with Jim and Craig I can genuinely say I made the best decision possible.Thank you
